Qualifications, experiences, and exposure:
· Matric
· Certified Safety Practitioner
· National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent qualification essential
· Must have sound knowledge of OHS Act, related safety legislation.
· SACPCMP registered or eligible for registration.(advantageous)

Role and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
· Support the development of OHS policies and programmes.

· Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
· Initiate and organise OHS training of employees and executives.
· Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g not using PPE)
· Oversee installation, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
· Stop any unsafe act or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
· Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
· Prepare reports on unsafe acts and provide statistical information to upper management.
· Administrative duties and audit reviews, not limited to safety aspects
